The Software Entrepreneur's Template
The SSAAS
approach to help early stage businesses take the next step has been
developed by the Partnership. It is based on rigorous assessment using
the Health Check methodology and significantly increases the chances of
a start-up being successful.
However, David Richmond has written a book
specifically aimed at people who may be looking to start up a software
business for the first time. It is based on David's many years of doing
software start-ups and offers a hands-on guide, full of real-world
examples of the good, bad and ugly situations that he has encountered.
It is especially valuable in that it lays out a framework to help new
entrepreneurs avoid some of the common mistakes that people make when
they have limited experience.
It is aimed at the
early years in a start-up's life, taking the idea from inception through
rounds of angel and venture capital investment, such that the
opportunity is primed for a highly successful exit.
